Different classes of trailer hitches

Class I Hitches – Class I trailer hitches are generally designed to handle the lightest loads. The maximum tongue weight of a Class 1 trailer hitch is 200 lbs. A Class 1 trailer hitch can handle a gross trailer weight (GTW) of up to 2,000 lbs. Several types of hitches are available, including drawbar-type hitches and step bumper-type hitches. Smaller cars, pickups, and smaller vans often use this hitch for bicycle racks, camping racks, and light-duty towing.
Class II Hitches – These are designed to handle loads of up to 3,500 pounds. It weighs 300 pounds and has a GTW of 2000 pounds weight of the tongue. A Class II hitch is used for boat trailers, snowmobile trailers, motorcycle trailers, and campers. This trailer hitch is suitable for larger vehicles, such as large cars, full-size vans, pickup trucks, and SUVs. There are a variety of trailer hitches available, some of which are designed specifically for your vehicle, and others are universal class II trailer hitches.
Class III Hitches – There are various types of Class III trailer hitches, each of which can handle up to 5,000 pounds. The GTW and the weight of 500 pounds towing weight. Many towing applications require this hitch with a rectangular receiver of two inches. We design our class III hitches for your vehicle most of the time. There are, however, some class III trailer hitches that are universally compatible.
Class IV Hitches – The Class IV hitch is designed to handle loads up to 10,000 pounds. A GTW of 1,000 to 1,200 pounds and a weight of 1,000 to 1,200 pounds of tongue weight. An example of this type of hitch is a weight-distribution hitch. You will find a wide range of class IV hitches designed for your vehicle in our inventory.
Class V Hitches – The Class V hitch is designed for extra loads exceeding 10,000 pounds. It weighs more than 1,200 pounds and has a GTW of more than 10,000 pounds Tongue weight. A weight-distribution hitch is usually used with this type of hitch. These hitches may have a receiver with a diameter of up to 2-1/2 inches and a pinhole with a diameter of 3/4 inches. Most clients order this type of hitch for towing a car trailer, horse trailer, camper, or large boat.

Our Accomplishments

A GTO header was designed by our company, and a 1970 Maverick header that was re-configured by us.

Repairing an original muffler for a 1915 Benz was one of our favorite fabrication projects. We were the only one who could help this client after he called everyone else. Like all of our clients, this antique car owner was extremely pleased with our service.

A client needed a mobile workbench. We constructed it for him.
Fine Line Suspension built a toolbox for Jason, who works on dirt bike suspensions on-site at race tracks. He needed to have a self-contained workstation.
